While divers choose the destination, the specific dive sites are selected by our tour leader and boat captain based on sea conditions, wind, and safety considerations. Choices by the captain and tour leader are made to ensure the best and safest diving experience for everyone.

Shore dives at Kata Beach are available year-round, especially during the high season (November – May) when conditions are typically calm and clear. However, since beach dives depend on weather and sea conditions, we always evaluate safety before each dive. If conditions like strong waves or poor visibility make diving unsafe, we may need to reschedule or cancel the dive for your safety.

WE GOT ANSWERS!

Is a beach dive easier than a boat dive?
Yes! Beach dives have easy, gradual entries, no boat ride, and calm conditions, making them perfect for relaxed diving and beginners.
Do I need a night diving certification for a night beach dive?
No! If it’s your first night dive, an instructor will guide you through the basics. A Night Diver specialty is only required for independent night diving.
What marine life can I see on a beach dive?
Expect to see nudibranchs, moray eels, lionfish, cuttlefish, and stingrays. On night dives, octopuses, lobsters, and bioluminescent plankton light up the water!
How deep are the beach dives at Kata Beach?
Beach dives at Kata Beach typically range from 5 to 12 meters, making them perfect for beginners, refreshers, and relaxed exploration.
How long does a beach dive last?
A single dive usually lasts 60 to 80 minutes, depending on air consumption and conditions. Since there’s no boat schedule, we can take our time and enjoy a relaxed dive until you reach 50 bar!
