In just two days, you’ll gain the essential skills and knowledge to dive up to 12 meters (40 feet) under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.

The course also includes a Theoretical Exam (if the student has completed the e-learning it will be a Quick Review with the instructor, if not it will be a comprehensive Knowledge Review and a Quick Exam)

• Minimum age: 10 years old
• Basic swimming ability and comfort in the water
• Medical clearance if required (we’ll provide a form)

E-LEARNING INDEPENDENT STUDY

DIVE INTO THEORY AT YOUR OWN PACE
Complete the first three knowledge development sections of the Open Water Diver course using PADI eLearning, available online anytime, anywhere. You’ll cover basic dive science, the buddy system, equipment use, and underwater safety.

POOL SESSION

SKILL TRAINING IN SHALLOW WATERS
Practice core scuba skills in a pool , including:

• Mask clearing
• Regulator recovery
• Buoyancy control
• Basic safety procedures

This is where you build comfort and confidence before entering the open ocean.

RACHA YAI & RACHA NOI or KATA BEACH

OPEN WATER TRAINING DIVES
Now it’s time to bring your training to life in the open ocean! You’ll complete your open water dives either with 2 beach dives at Kata Beach or 3 boat dives at Racha Yai & Racha Noi depending on your schedule and preference.

With a PADI Instructor by your side, you’ll apply the skills learned in the pool while exploring vibrant coral reefs, tropical fish, and clear blue waters. These dives are not just about checking off skills—they’re your first real taste of the diving lifestyle, surrounded by stunning marine life in one of Thailand’s top underwater playgrounds.

23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT

A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.

With a breadth of 5.5 meters, the Mermaid comfortably accommodates divers, providing ample space for relaxation and gear preparation.

How is the Scuba Diver Course different from Open Water?
The Scuba Diver course is a shorter, more limited version of the full certification. It qualifies you to dive under direct supervision only, and only to 12 meters. It’s perfect for travelers or those unsure about committing to the full course.
Can I upgrade to Open Water later?
Yes! You can upgrade anytime by completing the remaining sections of the Open Water Diver course—just 2 more confined sessions, 2 dives, and theory.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to join the course?
You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable in the water. There’s no swim test in the Scuba Diver course, just basic water comfort is required.
Is the certification valid worldwide?
