Discover Scuba Diving is the easiest and safest way to experience the magic of diving, with a dedicated instructor by your side at all times, guiding you step by step for a fun and stress-free underwater adventure! For your first experience underwater we want you to feel as comfortable as possible, and that’s why you can choose between:
Full-Day Trip at Racha Yai & Racha Noi – 3 Dives
Our full-day Discover Scuba Diving trip takes you to the stunning Racha Yai & Racha Noi Islands, where crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life await. The Instructor will take care of you!
DURATION
1 full day trip, 3 dives (07.00 – 17.00)
PREREQUISITES:
- Minimum age is 10 years old
- Medical clearance may be required if needed
- Comfortable in the water (basic swimming skills recommended but not mandatory)
INCLUDES:
- Dedicated Instructor (maximum 2 participants per instructor)
- Dive equipment (BCD, regulator set, wetsuit, fins, mask)
- PADI eLearning materials for independent study
- Three open water dives at Racha Islands
- Morning pick up & afternoon drop off (Kamala, Patong, Karon, Kata, Rawai, Nai Harn, Chalong)

- Basic Pay & Claim Dive insurance (possible upgrade to a comprehensive dive insurance for 250 baht per day)

ABOUT THE BOAT
23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT
A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.
With a breadth of 5.5 meters, the Mermaid comfortably accommodates divers, providing ample space for relaxation and gear preparation.
Operating seven days a week, the Mermaid combines stability, comfort, and performance, delivering an unparalleled diving experience for all aboard.
BEACH DIVE FROM KATA BEACH - 2 DIVES (onLY NOVEMBER - APRIL)
Looking for a quick and easy way to experience scuba diving? Our Discover Scuba Diving from the Beach is perfect for those who want to try diving in a relaxed setting.

PHOTOS POLICY
For safety reasons, PADI regulations do not allow instructors to take photos while conducting the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience. As a professional and safety-focused PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, we fully adhere to these guidelines to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable dive. In the unlikely event of an incident, insurance coverage for both divers and the dive center may be affected if safety regulations are not followed.
Each of our instructors supervises a maximum of two DSD students, ensuring personalized attention and a comfortable underwater experience. If multiple instructors are on the boat conducting DSD sessions, they can buddy up to capture photos safely when appropriate.
OPTIONAL: For an extra cost, you can have a dedicated instructor taking pictures throughout your Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience.

Do I need experience to try scuba diving?
No! If you’ve never dived before, our Discover Scuba Diving program is the perfect way to try scuba in a safe and fun environment. No certification is required—just bring your excitement, and we’ll take care of the rest!
What is the minimum age to start diving?
Kids as young as 8 years old can join our Bubblemaker program, while 10-year-olds can start their diving journey with the Junior Open Water Course. There’s no age limit for adults—if you’re fit and excited to explore, it’s never too late to start!
Is scuba diving safe?
Absolutely! At Pray Dive, safety is our top priority. We follow strict PADI standards, provide top-quality equipment, and ensure small group sizes so you get personal attention from our experienced instructors.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to dive?
You don’t need to be an Olympic swimmer, but basic swimming ability is required. For certification courses like the Open Water Diver, you’ll need to swim 200 meters (no time limit) and float for 10 minutes.
What’s included in my dive trip?
All our trips include a professional instructor, full dive equipment, insurance, hotel pick-up and drop-off, and meals/snacks on board. Just bring a swimsuit, towel, and excitement!
How do I book a dive with Pray Dive?
Simple! You can book online with our forms, send us a message, call us, or visit us in person. If you’re unsure which dive experience suits you best, contact us—we’re happy to help!
What should I bring for my dive trip?
We provide everything you need, including dive gear, a wetsuit, and meals/snacks on board. Just bring: swimsuit, towel, sunscreen (reef-safe), dry change of clothes and good mood!
Can I fly after diving?
Yes, but you need to wait! For single dives, wait at least 12 hours before flying. For multiple dives or liveaboards, wait at least 18 hours to avoid decompression sickness. Use this time to relax and explore Phuket!
Can I dive if I wear glasses or contact lenses?
Yes! If you wear contact lenses, you can dive as usual. If you have glasses, we offer prescription masks so you can see clearly underwater. Just let us know in advance!
What happens if the weather is bad?
Diving is a year-round activity in Phuket, and we always check conditions before a trip. We are able to operate the day trips by changing dive sites to protected areas of the destination. If the weather makes diving unsafe, we’ll reschedule or offer a refund. Safety is always our priority!
What if I haven't dive in a while?
If it’s been more than six months since your last dive, we highly recommend a Refresher or PADI ReActivate program to help you regain confidence and brush up on essential skills.
