Diving should be accessible to everyone, and as a PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty Diver, you’ll learn how to assist divers with disabilities and adapt your approach to create a more inclusive diving environment. This course is perfect for dive professionals, instructors, and experienced divers who want to enhance their ability to support and guide divers with physical and cognitive challenges while improving their own communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills underwater.

The course also includes a Theoretical Exam (if the student has completed the e-learning it will be a Quick Review with the instructor, if not it will be a comprehensive Knowledge Review and a Quick Exam)

2 Days – 3 Open Water Dives

PREREQUISITES

• PADI Divemaster certification or higher (or Rescue Diver with 20+ dives)
• Minimum age: 18 years old

DIVING ADAPTIVE TECHNIQUES THEORY

Before your in-water sessions, you’ll complete the PADI Adaptive Techniques eLearning module, covering adaptive diving concepts, diver support strategies, and communication methods. This allows you to focus on hands-on training and real-world application during the course.

Confined Water Training

Build confidence in a controlled environment

✅ Theory session: Understanding adaptive diving techniques, safety considerations, and communication strategies.
✅ Confined water session: Practicing modified skills, buddy assistance, and adaptive communication techniques.

Open Water Training & Real-World Application

FROM THEORY TO ASSISTING DIVERS

✅ 3 Open water dives: Assisting adaptive divers in real conditions, focusing on buoyancy control, communication, and safety.

23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT

A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.

With a breadth of 5.5 meters, the Mermaid comfortably accommodates divers, providing ample space for relaxation and gear preparation.

Operating seven days a week, the Mermaid combines stability, comfort, and performance, delivering an unparalleled diving experience for all aboard.
