The course also includes a Theoretical Exam (if the student has completed the e-learning it will be a Quick Review with the instructor, if not it will be a comprehensive Knowledge Review and a Quick Exam)

PREREQUISITES

• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Minimum age: 15 years old

HOW DOES THE COURSE WORK?

E Learning Independent Study

Gain confidence with the theory of deep dives

Before heading into the water, you’ll complete the PADI Deep Diver eLearning module, covering depth-related risks, gas management, dive planning, and emergency procedures. This allows you to learn at your own pace and maximize time spent diving.

Day 1 - First Deep Dives

Plan and Manage Deep Dives at -30M

✅ Dive 1: Deep dive introduction (max 30m)
✅ Dive 2: Pressure & gas consumption awareness dive (max 30m)
✅ Dive 3: Shallow Fun Dive (Nitrox available)

Day 2 - Mastering Deep Diving

Plan and Manage Deep Dives at -40M

✅ Dive 4: Emergency deep dive procedures & backup air supply (max 40m)
✅ Dive 5: Final deep dive exploration & skill refinement (max 40m)
✅ Dive 6: Shallow Fun Dive (Nitrox Available)

ABOUT THE BOAT

23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT

A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.

With a breadth of 5.5 meters, the Mermaid comfortably accommodates divers, providing ample space for relaxation and gear preparation.

Operating seven days a week, the Mermaid combines stability, comfort, and performance, delivering an unparalleled diving experience for all aboard.

How deep can I go after completing this course?

You’ll be certified to dive up to 40 meters (130 feet)—the maximum recreational diving depth.

Do I need special equipment for deep diving?

Most of the required gear is standard, but you’ll learn how to use backup air sources, redundant safety gear, and deep dive computers.

Will I experience nitrogen narcosis?

Every diver experiences nitrogen narcosis differently. During training, you’ll learn how to recognize and manage its effects at depth.

Where will the dives take place?

We usually dive at Racha Noi, Racha Yai, or Phi Phi Islands, depending on conditions.
