The course also includes a Theoretical Exam (if the student has completed the e-learning it will be a Quick Review with the instructor, if not it will be a comprehensive Knowledge Review and a Quick Exam)

PREREQUISITES

• PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Minimum age: 10 years old

HOW DOES THE COURSE WORK?

DELVE INTO UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY THEORY

Before heading underwater, you’ll complete the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer/Videographer eLearning module, covering camera settings, shooting techniques, and lighting principles. This ensures you can focus on practical skills during your training dives.

Camera Setup & Training Dives

CAPTURE UNDERWATER MEMORIES

✅ Dive 1: Practicing composition, lighting, and stability techniques.
✅ Dive 2: Capturing marine life, framing moving subjects, and adjusting camera settings for different depths.
✅ Dive 3: Fun dive with photo and video shooting
✅ Post-dive session: Reviewing footage, editing techniques, and color correction tips.
For the entire course we use the Olympus TG5 & TG6 underwater digital cameras!

ABOUT THE BOAT

23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT

A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.

With a breadth of 5.5 meters, the Mermaid comfortably accommodates divers, providing ample space for relaxation and gear preparation.

Operating seven days a week, the Mermaid combines stability, comfort, and performance, delivering an unparalleled diving experience for all aboard.
