The course also includes a Theoretical Exam (if the student has completed the e-learning it will be a Quick Review with the instructor, if not it will be a comprehensive Knowledge Review and a Quick Exam)

DURATION

1 Day – 3 dives or
2 Days – 6 dives (highly recommended)

PREREQUISITES

• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Minimum 100 logged dives
• Minimum age: 18 years old

INCLUDES

✅ PADI eLearning – Learn about redundancy systems, emergency planning, and becoming a self-sufficient diver.
✅ 3 or 6 Training Dives – Practice air consumption calculations, dive planning, and risk assessment in real dive scenarios.
✅ Backup Systems – Master the use of a pony bottle and other essential gear for independent diving.
✅ PADI Self-Reliant Diver certification.
✅ Full equipment rental, morning pick up & drop off, basic dive insurance (upgrade to a comprehensive dive insurance available for 250THB per day), breakfast, lunch, snacks and amenities.

Before entering the water, you’ll complete the PADI Self-Reliant Diver eLearning module, covering risk management, redundant systems, gas planning, and self-rescue techniques. This allows you to maximize your time in the water practicing skills

Theory & First Self-Reliant Dive

COMPLETE YOUR FIRST RELIANT DIVE

✅ Self-reliant dive planning, redundant systems, and air management
✅ Dive 1: Introduction to self-reliant skills, air supply checks, and emergency procedures.

Advanced Self-Reliant Techniques

BECOME A SELF-RELIANT DIVER

✅ Dive 2: Navigation, buoyancy control, and controlled ascent drills.
✅ Dive 3: Final self-reliant dive applying all techniques in a real dive scenario.

23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT

A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.

With a breadth of 5.5 meters, the Mermaid comfortably accommodates divers, providing ample space for relaxation and gear preparation.

Operating seven days a week, the Mermaid combines stability, comfort, and performance, delivering an unparalleled diving experience for all aboard.

Can I dive completely alone after taking this course?

This course teaches self-sufficiency, but it does not certify you as a solo diver. However, it enhances your ability to dive independently in situations where buddy separation may occur.

es, you’ll use redundant air systems (pony bottle), a spare mask, dive computers, and other backup gear. We provide rental equipment if needed.
