The course also includes a Theoretical Exam (if the student has completed the e-learning it will be a Quick Review with the instructor, if not it will be a comprehensive Knowledge Review and a Quick Exam)

DURATION:
3 Days, 6 dives

PREREQUISITES:

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
  • Emergency First Response (EFR) certification within the last 24 months (Can be taken alongside the Rescue course)
  • Minimum age 12 years old (Junior Rescue Diver for ages 12-14)

E-LEARNING INDEPENDENT STUDY

DIVE INTO THE THEORY OF DIVE EMERGENCIES

Before jumping into hands-on training, you’ll complete the PADI eLearning Rescue Diver course at your own pace. This module covers diving emergencies, accident prevention, and rescue techniques, preparing you with the knowledge needed for practical exercises. By studying independently, you’ll spend more time in the water focusing on real-life rescue scenarios

DAY 1 - POOL DAY

BUILD CONFIDENCE WITH DIVE EMERGENCIES PROCEDURES

Your first practical session takes place in confined water, where you’ll practice self-rescue techniques, assisting panicked divers, underwater search patterns, and surfacing an unresponsive diver. This controlled setting allows you to refine your skills under the close supervision of your instructor, ensuring you’re confident and prepared for open water scenarios.

DAY 2/3 - RESCUE SCENARIOS

PRACTICE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Now it’s time to put your training to the test! Across one or two days, you’ll head to Racha Yai or Racha Noi to practice real-world rescue scenarios. You’ll perform search and recovery drills, emergency exits, and in-water rescue breaths, all while managing stress and staying in control. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to handle dive emergencies and be a more responsible, capable diver.

23.8 METERS DIVING BOAT

A 23.8-meter steel-hulled vessel designed specifically for scuba diving adventures. Powered by twin Diesel HINO engines totaling 620 horsepower, it ensures both reliability and efficiency on the water.

What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

The Rescue Diver Course teaches you how to prevent, manage, and respond to diving emergencies, making you a more confident and capable diver. Yes, a valid first aid & CPR certification is required. If you don’t have one, you can complete the Emergency First Response (EFR) course before or alongside your Rescue Diver training.
